A time capsule is a selection of objects that represent the current time, saved for future generations. A yearbook time capsule saved pictures and descriptions instead of objects. The first Prelude featured a time capsule, as did 1967. 1968's "Our Year" was just a schedule, not a time capsule, and it was over a decade before the practice was revived. The 1979 Prelude theme was "The 1970s", and each section page was a time capsule. 1994 had a half-page collage style that was repeated more often than not. Did the Prelude editors wonder if anyone would ever look at these memory vaults, and in one place?
