A time capsule is a selection of objects that represent the current time, saved for future generations. A yearbook time capsule saved pictures and descriptions instead of objects. The first Prelude featured a time capsule, as did 1967. 1968's "Our Year" was just a schedule, not a time capsule, and it was over a decade before the practice was revived. The 1979 Prelude theme was "The 1970s", and each section page was a time capsule. 1994 had a half-page collage style that was repeated more often than not. Did the Prelude editors wonder if anyone would ever look at these memory vaults, and in one place? Well, for Wagar's 25th Anniversary, Remember When... was compiled with memories of each year.
