Students were first admitted to Wagar in the fall of 1963, but only up to 10th grade. The first graduating class was for the 1964-65 school year. Early Prelude covers showed the name of the yearbook and the two years spanned by the graduating class. 1966 was unusual in that it named Wagar High School. 1970 featured colour artwork, but no text ("Prelude 1970" was on the spine). With work-to-rule in place for the 1973-74 year, Wagar's yearbook was created without the usual teacher support and was called Interlude. Yearbooks for the classes of 1992 and 1993 featured wraparound covers, as did 1997. By 2002, the yearbook was called Wagar's Odyssey.
